The rock situated in the sea between Kontogialos and the neighboring beach, Yaliskari, is associated with the tale of the bride turned to stone. According to the legend, pirates conducted a raid during a wedding, seizing the bride. As the mother gazed at the pirate vessel carrying her daughter away, she cast a curse, transforming them into stone. Hence, by tradition, this very rock came into existence.
